Good Morning Loves! :)

Each Monday we will be focusing on some beauty trends, tips and some of our favorites beauty items here at TVP.
Today's must have item is the all natural WEN Hair Care-- Cleanser Conditioning. OMG! This is amazing stuff and I swear by it.If you have thick and dry hair this is a must have. A little bit goes a long way.
I have naturally curly hair that is super thick. I began using the WEN hair care in Fig and I have noticed an amazing difference. My hair is shinner, weighs down less, not dry at all and super soft. It is a win win :)

Best thing about this hair care ine is that it is all natural. There are no harsh chemicals, lab testings etc..

Here are the choices:

Almond Mint, Pomogrante, Winter Vanilla Mint, Lavendar, Cucumber & Aloe, Tea Tree & Fig ( which is what I use for dry/frizzy hair).

I order mine via QVC.com and get a 6 month supply in this HUGE dispenser! I dime size goes a long way.

So, you may wonder where in the world did I go? Well, I have been living under a huge stack upon stacks of papers from work, organizing the holidays and being in love with the most amazing man I know. 

You can say I have been held over heels in love and so happy.  I feel like I have finally found my “home” with him and I found my dream man.

One word.. happy :)
With that, things are beginning to unwind a bit and I will be back to blogging on a daily basis starting Monday. Get excited, pop open that bottle of champagne because TVP is back! 

Just when you think...

things are getting better you learn that another hurdle gets in your way.

If you do not know the history of my sibling and I. It's simple we do not speak. We grew up exactly in the same way, raised the same way, given the same things and we turned out as one is good the other is selfish.

I have always refered to myself as an only child. I never had that sibling relationship and I longed for it for a long while. But in the past few years, I have let go of that dream and made peace with reality. Sadly, my parents are still realling from the disrespect, hurt and pain they caused them. But my mom cannot let go of that longing for her son to actually show that he cares. Its really heartbreaking and to see my parents deal with it in such a different way and know they are hurting is just agony for me.

With that, my mom wants to invite my sibling and his wife over for dinner. Sadly, my father has announced that with how much they hurt him he will not speak to them and will ignore them.Which will not mend anyting and only make matters worse for everyone. I told my mom that I have forgiven but I will never forget. I will be nice say Hi and How are you and Bye. But as far as a relationship, I dont care for one.

Pray for my family, maybe one day things will turn around for us all. Who knows?

Busy as a Bee

Literally! I cannot even begin to explain what all has happened but I got really ill when I got back from vacation. I was down and out for 10 days then two nights ago ER rush to the hospital for my dad.. prognosis- Vertigo! When it rains it pours and like I always say everything happens in 3's.
Dad broken leg, me ill and now the ER. But I am happy to say that all is now well and we are all on the mend.

Thank you to all for the sweet emails and messages. They mean the world to me!

Onto something fun.. it is officially Labor Day weekend! Yay! What is everyone's plans for the last weekend of the summer?

Jersey Shore-- Italia!

It has debuted and there hasn't been much buzz around it. I haven't heard or read anything. I am hoping its not a flop.

Something Borrowed-- Book Club:

I read the series a long time ago, but I wanted to get a refresher. Was planning on reading this while on vacation but never got the time to do so. Hoping I love it as much as I did the first time :)

Big Brother- Season 13-

I have missed two and a half weeks of this season and it is killing me haha. I love this show! Its like a super soap opera reality craziness! Anyone else watch?

I'm Back From Portugal! :)

Back from Portugal and I am very happy to be back to my own routine. Truth be told, I missed everything. ha-ha. I really did.

My vacation was nonetheless very tiring. To sum it up here is a picture that sums up the two weeks and the rest of the year to come... (not the best pic but you get the idea).

4 hours after my arrival my Dad had an accident where he broke his right leg in 3 different areas. Requiring emergency surgery and 6 days confined to a hospital. He is doing okay and at home resting. But I know the next couple of months will be tough with him out of work and all. If you would please keep my dad and family in your good thoughts and prayers.

A huge thank you to the girls who kept TVP going while I was gone. They are the best! No idea how I got lucky to have three great friends like these girls.

Guest Post: The Dead Sea

Hi everyone!

My name is Julie and I blog at Wearing Mascara. S, thank you for having me! To go along with the travel theme of the guest posts, I wanted to share with you a snippet of the best 12 days of my life in Israel. In 2008, I went to Israel for Birth Right. It was a life changing experience!

The snippet I'd like to share is the day we swam in the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea has so much salt that you can literally float without any effort. The salt holds you up and it's advisable that you do not stay in the water too long or you will become dehydrated quickly!

There was some natural mud we used as a spa treatment. Washing it off in the salt definitely rejuvenated our skin!

Travel Guest Post- Pt. 2

Hello TVP readers! Rhonda from Belle in Bows, again!

I am back today to guest post for S again. Since I have the travel bug I thought I would do my two posts both on travel. Yesterday I shared some of my travel tips, if you missed that post be sure to check it out.

While S is lucky enough to be in Portugal, I know a lot of people are thinking a vacation is out of the question. Sometimes, when I think about vacationing and traveling, my mind goes directly to exotic countries. A lot of times I forget all about the places to travel that are right here in the United States.

Today, I wanted to share a few of my favorite places or places I would love to visit.

1. San Juan Islands

How beautiful is this?

You can reach these islands by ferry from Washington. I have always heard how breathtaking the view is from the water. There are so many things to do. You can hike, kayak, or go boating. However, if I were to make it to the islands of San Juan I would want to go whale watching.

It would seriously make my life to see this!

2. Philadelphia

Okay, Okay! This has to be one of my favorite places to visit. There is so much going on and so much to do. If you are a history buff you will love Philly. If you are a sports fanatic, you will love Philly. (Go Phils, oi oi) If you are a foodie, you will love Philly.

If you make it to Philadelphia I suggest you make it a point to check out

Museum of Art

Liberty Bell Center

Independence Hall

& most importantly... Citizens Bank Park to catch the Phillies in action.

3. Florida Keys

I included a picture of the bridge, because one of my favorite things to do is, take a drive through all of the Keys. Destination being Key West, but I love stopping in Marathon and other Keys along the way.

The drive is so beautiful and so relaxing. Put the top down. Roll down the windows. Crank up your beach music and prepare yourself for relaxation and fun!

When we are in Key West we always eat very good, have delicious drinks with fresh squeezed juice, and snorkel the days away. G (the boyfriend) and I always head to our favorite dessert place in Key West...

Trust me, check it out!

4. Texas

Believe it or not, I have never been to Texas. If you read my blog then you know I am a HUGE Friday Night Light's fan. Now I know, that is just a portrayal of small town Texas. There is just so much to see and do in Texas. Be it the city or small town America. If you are from Texas or have visited, please tell me where I should start. It just seems so big I don't want to miss anything!

5. Charleston, South Carolina

I saved the best for last. Charleston has to be my absolute favorite place in America.

I consider myself to be extremely lucky that I grew up a mere 2 hours away from Charleston. I was able to visit anytime that I wanted. I fell in love with Charleston as a little girl. To this day I love surrounding myself with everything Charleston has to offer.

I love to walk around and just admire and photograph the houses I would love to live in one day.

I love the shopping in Charleston.

I love the cobblestone streets.

I love eating. Especially the good ol' southern restaurants.

I love the sweet tea.

I love going down to the Battery and having a picnic with the one I love.

If you have never been to Charleston, you need to go. Seriously. Exit off this page and organize a trip. It will change your life.

Travel Guest Post- Pt. 1

I can't even tell you how excited I was that S asked me to guest post for her while she is off traveling.

How lucky is she to be in Portugal? A country I have always wanted to visit!

S jet-setting got me to thinking about how much I absolutely love traveling, and a lot goes into it. Especially if you are traveling internationally.

Today, I wanted to give you some of my tips that I stick to when I travel.

**First and most importantly:

Moisturize and hydrate!

I cannot emphasize how important this step is when traveling. Especially when traveling by air. However, even if you are going by car these are still important. A lot of time passes where you may be sitting and not being active, it can be easy to forget to drink water! It is still vitally important. Also, don't forget your daily moisturizer. On days when you are traveling you may need to moisturize more often. Being on an airplane always makes my skin dry and feeling gross. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!

**Secondly, dress comfortably. I never understand when people get on a long flight wearing tight dresses and heels. Practicality beats fashion when traveling. I am not saying you have to wear sweatpants and a t-shirt, but I am not saying it's wrong either. Here is a sample of what I would wear when traveling.

There are some basic rules to attire when traveling. Dress in layers in case the temperature on the flight fluctuates from warm to cold. Simple shoes, I don't want to be behind you in line at security if it takes 5 minutes for you to take your shoes off. Minimal accessories, for the exact same reason as shoes.

**Next, a neck pillow.

I know, I know. Sometimes I too snicker at people with neck pillows, but trust me, it's worth it. If you forget this step you may wake up with an extremely sore neck. Or worse, with your head resting on your neighbor's shoulder. I would die.

**On a international flight I like to spend most of the trip sleeping. However, I need, and yes I mean need, coffee. I need this coffee just to put up with the amount of people I will encounter on any given trip. May be ironic but coffee will give me the patience I will need to not lose it over a grumpy flight attendant, a slowpoke in security, and/or a chatty neighbor.

Since I live in Texas and we are on our 20 something day of triple digit heat...I am so looking forward to buying and wearing my fall clothes!! I probably won't get to wear them until October...but hey a girl can wish!!

Southern Inspired Dinner

I am so excited to be a guest blogger on TVP for the next two days!! I have really enjoyed blogging and one of my favorite things to do is cook! I like to think I am Paula Deen, Jr.

This following dinner is Southern Inspired since I am from Texas and I always use my southern belle voice while making all of it!

One of my fiance's favorite thing I make is chicken fried steak. With it being so messy to make he probably only gets to enjoy it once a month...maybe.

Paula's Chicken Fried Steak
Ingredients

•1 1/2 cups, plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

•1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

•8 (4-ounce) tenderized beef round steak (have butcher run them through cubing machine)

•1 teaspoon House Seasoning, recipe follows

•1 teaspoon seasoning salt

•3/4 cup vegetable oil

•1 1/2 teaspoons salt

•4 cups hot water

•1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate (recommended: Ac'cent), optional

•1 bunch green onions, or 1 medium yellow onion, sliced

Directions

Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle 1 side of the meat with the House Seasoning and the other side with the seasoning salt, and then dredge the meat in the flour mixture. Heat 1/2 cup oil in a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 or 4 of the steaks to the hot oil, and fry until browned, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove each steak to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with the remaining steaks, adding up to 1/4 cup more oil, as needed.

Make the gravy by adding the 2 tablespoons remaining flour to the pan drippings, scraping the bottom with a wooden spoon. Stir in the remaining 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and the salt. Reduce the heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently, until the flour is medium brown and the mixture is bubbly. Slowly add the water and the monosodium glutamate, if using, stirring constantly. Return the steaks to the skillet and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to low, and place the onions on top of the steaks. Cover the pan, and let simmer for 30 minutes.

House Seasoning:

•1 cup salt

•1/4 cup black pepper

•1/4 cup garlic powder

Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

Yield: 1 1/2 cups

Paula's Garlic Mash Potatoes
Ingredients

3 medium baking potatoes, peeled and coarsely chopped

1 teaspoon salt

4 tablespoon butter, at room temperature

1/4 cup sour cream, at room temperature

1 teaspoon finely minced garlic

whole milk, start with 1 Tablespoon, at room temperature or warmed

salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

In a medium saucepan, cook the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and return them to the saucepan.

Add the butter, sour cream and garlic. Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or the back of a fork until the ingredients are blended. Add the milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the potatoes are the desired consistency. Taste and add salt and pepper, if needed.

Paula's Not Yo Momma's Banana Pudding

Ingredients

•2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies

•6 to 8 bananas, sliced

•2 cups milk

•1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding

•1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

•1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

•1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

Directions

Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.

In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serves 12.

To Portugal that is :) Only for two weeks and I am nervous, excited, saddened and just a mixed bag of emotions. I have loads to do today and things to get ready at the house. But pray for me that I will have a safe flight, my pup, Lucy will be okay with out me for 14 days and that all will be wonderful.

Manic Monday..

2 more days until I am up in the air and off to Boston then Porto, Portugal all in one day.
I must admit I am not that great of a flyer.. all i want to do is just sleep and breathe. My anxiety and nerves are coming up and will be full force on Tuesday. Oy... I see Advil PM in my future for 2 nights at least.

5 more days until I am in the air and flying to Porto, Portugal. AAAHHH I cannot believe I will get to see my parents and extended family.
5 more precious days before I leave this sweet baby for 2 whole weeks :(

I think I have found the one. More on that later.
Overwhelmed with the items and errands I have to accomplish before I leave on Wednesday morning. I swear I need an assistant
Hoping that I can switch my IPhone/AT&T carrier to international plan so that I dont get charged with roaming.
Grateful for my twitter and blog girlfriends- E and Belle In Bows - They are truly the best a girl could ask for :)

Where Have I Been Lately?

Dear Friends,
So sorry for going MIA in the past month or so. Things have been a whirlwind lately and it is all good things.
With that, I am back and ready to get into blogging my life, thoughts on the world and things that I love! :)

So,I will have some news to share come in a few weeks, but I am not ready as of yet. But it will be a good news.. no worries.

On a lighter note-- I have 6 more days until I am flying off to Porto, Portugal to meet my parents and spend time with my family. I am over the moon excited and I will hopefully be able to blog from there, but most likely I will be Tweeting-- follow me at Silvie1999.

It's Thursday and It was Crazy

Yep, you read that right. My weekend was a big Flop! Horrible! Wilmington has nothing, not a thing to do. Just a river walk and thats about it. We had a terrible experience at a restaurant there, the stores - there are none that have good shopping. I told my parents thats it we are going to the OG (Olive Garden) LOL

And we did! Better service, food was fantastic as always and I had my Bella Limonda! So I was a happy girl. I mean, it was just not a great place t o visit at all. Not my thing I guess. I was bored and the locals didnt give me any insight on what there is to do there. So, I am giving it a D rating. Yep, a D.

On a brighter note, its Thursday, I am wearing coral and gold at the office today. Makes me happy :) Its Mary Kay month for me! Love that! Mailing out orders and sending out samples to some of my favorite blog readers :)

Good Morning TVP readers! Hoping that everyone had a fabulous weekend! Here the sun was shinning, the weather was gorgeous and it was crazy busy! All things set aside, we love life and enjoy every second of it!

Today's Spotlight Monday is a new product that I started using a few weeks ago and I have fallen in love with it! I am not a fan of sunless tanning lotions, foams, creams etc.. The smell and the orange palms on your hands that last for a few days are just dreadful. Plus, sometimes you end up loooking like a carrot!

So, I found this little beautie on non other than QVC. No joke, I love QVC. (ha-ha) Big fan of the beauty and kitchen segments. :)

This item is fantastic! Its a huge compact with a puff, Costs $39.75 and it is baked in Italy. You simply just rub it on to your skin, wet for a darker and richer apperance or dry for a less darker look. I use dry and I have porcelain skin tone. I use it on my arms, legs, chest, neck and lightly on my face. I get a sunkissed glow and love it! Best for getting your tanning look without the damage of uv rays. Plus, it dries quickly, does not rub off on clothes and stays on until you shower.

I've Got A Feeling

Have you ever had one of those feelings where you really want to say something to someone before things happen? As in you forsee what will occur in the next couple of months and you want to say “Hey, I think this will happen…..” and proceed to help them in making a mistake or even worse commit to someone/something that you know will back fire. Where everyone gets hurt?

Yep, that has been me today. I just want to pull them aside and tell them. But I can’t. Why should I? How could I? I would be interfering in their decisions. Even though, I support them whole heartadely, I just see the sky darkening. We all have been there, where we are blinded by everyone and everything that is going around us. We live in that bubble and hope for the best, but we know the worst will come. So, we burry that feeling deeper and deeper hoping it will get lost and never surface.

Spotlight Monday--- The New Royals

If you have been living under a rock lately or just haven't switched on the tele. You cannot help but be in love with the new generation of royals in the British Monoarchy. We all grew up watching Prince William and Prince Harry as well as, feel the same anguish as to when the queen of hearts, Princess Diana passed away in 1997. I for one am the same age as Prince William and loved "growing up" beside him in the same era and year. I am also thrilled that they both have found a passion and legacy for charities, helping those in need in the world as well as, doing what they love and marrying who they truly love in life.

That is what I love about these great people.. here's a glimpse on why they simply rock:

At TVP each Monday we will be spotlighting a website, person, talent or things we love and want YOU to know about. So, for our first spotlight Monday let me introduce to you my dear friend and one of my all time favorite people Mr. Michael Bonomo.

Mike Bonomo is what I call a guy who reaches for the top in everything he does but still is rarely satisfied. Not in a bad way, it shows that he is always looking to better in his craft, art, writting and overall who he is. And I admire that about him the most. Always reaching for the top with integrity and true hardwork. That for me sums up my friend. Believe me, you all know that when I speak highly of people it is most likely they are fantastic inside and out.

Mike is a director, screenwriter, producer, guru of all horror films and a photographer and so much more.

Praying for Alabama and The World

As you may have noticed or not noticed. In which, unless you live in a hole somewhere and never leave that hole. The weather across not only our south east area but across the world is getting dangerous and scary. From Japan- Tsunamies & earthquakes to Tornadoes all over the South and Midwest, Floods and forest fires in Texas and California. Seems that Mother Nature is taking us for a crazy ride.

I will admit that crazy weather terriefies me to no end. I believe since I cannot predict nor control what is happening makes it worse for me to handle. But I know what I can do is send good thoughts and prayers to those who are being affected by these storms and hope that it will end soon.

I would like to encourage everyone to please go to a local shelter, recovery center or if not possible donate to the American Red Cross. Even if you can donate a $1.00 it is better than nothing. It is times like these that we must come together, give a helping hand and we will make it through.

I don't have a whole one topic blog post to share with you today. Just have some little things that I am thinking about right now.

Food Journaling--

I have begun a food journal. Writing down what I eat, drink, taste, lick etc.. It truly keeps me on track. I look at it mid day and see where I need to up my fruit or veggie in take, calcium, protein. This week has been pretty good. But it is only week one, we shall see how long I can keep this up.

The Royal Wedding-

I am completely obessed with the Royal Wedding taking place this April. I will have to have my friend over at Pink Julep Abroad

To send me some memorabilia from this event. I just love weddings and anything Royal. So, this is a win win for me.

Zumba-

Taking it up beginning next Monday. I am an avid spinner ( aka. Spin class lover) but I need some spice. I love to dance! When you can dance and can burn up to 800 calories in a 45 min. class. Sign me up! :)

Superbowl Ads and Congrats Packers!

As tradition in America, everyone on a Sunday night once a year we all gather around eat fabulous food and watch the infamous Super Bowl. Some watch for the game, others for the ads and half time performance.

Here's the deal, the game was fantastic! Great win for the Packers! I was rooting for them since I am a Pats fan. The Ad's were hmm... shall we say.. lackluster. I wasn't impressed. I was really bummed that none of these ad's blew me away. Only two were my favorites:

What really made me shake my head was the halftime show. Oh my word, seriously, who knew that the Black Eyed Peas were horrible live? Some people blame it on their equipment being terrible etc... I blame it on them. I would rather have them lipsynch the songs than sound horrible if the equipment is to blame. If that isn't the case, then wow, they really are bad singers. I say, give me my chorus and techno beats and we will call it even BEP. Deal?

Mary Kay Foundation Primer--

OMG! Best primer I have ever used! I sell MK on the side to my friends and family. And I'll be honest, I have used so many foundation primers from MAC to Laura Mercier, Clinique etc.. You name it, I have tried it. When I got the sample the other week in the mail, I wasn't expecting it to be great.. Just thought- this will be like the others. But Boy, was I wrong! It is fantastic!!! And very well priced. It goes on smooth, melts into your skin. I am telling you, best stuff I have ever used! Highly recommend it! :)

Lily Pulitizer Planner-

This planner is amazing! I tried to get into the Mom agenda ones, but I I like sprial books. Easier to write in, fold pages over etc.. I guess they remind me of when I was in grade school. Who knows? They are adorable! I have navy fish one (see below). It has everything, stickers, notes, address book, folders, months and individual days etc… The planner runs from August 2010 thru December of 2011. For $25 you cannot beat that :)

Zumba--

As you all know I am a huge lover of Spin class and Yoga. BUT, I love to dance. So, when I heard of this intense work out that was based on dance moves. I had to check it out for myself. So, I found a local rec. center and contacted the Zumba Instructor. Dropped in on her class this week and I burned 600 calories in a 45 min class. The best part, it was like being at a Flashmob dance scene. It was over top, let lose fun! OMG! Best thing ever! If you hate going to the gym, working with weights or the dreaded treadmill. I highly recommend finding a Zumba class near you or buyingthe DVD's or its on Xbox Kinnect now :)

They say it's your Birthday…

It's official.. I turned the big 30 on Wednesday and I'm okay with it.

I know this is huge to say, but egh.. I am okay. There was a little cryfest that morning, but its natural. Some people I know that turned 30 were shut in's for the day. Which I can now understand why. It is very difficult to let go of your 20's. if you really think about it, you do so much in your 20's that are filled with all these milestones. College, first job, relationships, lost and gained, fist new car etc… So many, that it's like letting go of a security blanket. Sadly, I will be telling people I am 29 plus 1. haha. Until, I am ready to say I am .. Uhh.. Ya know 30. I'll ease into it.

So, here's to easing into being 30. officially an adult who focuses on retirement funds, insurance, and sadly the weather. Ya know, all those important adults topics people speak of. :)

Christmas Eve is this friday and Christmas Day is Saturday! Wow how time flies by. Holiday plans consist of Christmas Eve dinner at my parents with my boss coming over as well. Christmas Day is Mass and then lunch at my parents. The Holidays are pretty low key in my house only because it is just my parents and I. We focus more on spending time together, being grateful for our health, jobs and so much more. Christmas is really all about being grateful and helping others in need.

As you can see the weather here in South Carolina is super cold. Which is way below average here in the Carolinas. Guess what? I love it!! A girl who was born and raised in Boston loves that it is actually a great cold winter. I like the summers and springs here, but if I had to choose it would be winter and fall. I love the crispness of the air, the cool air in the morning and bundling up each day :)

Tuesday Ramblings and Thanksgiving

Here are a few things on my mind this morning:

1. Kim Zolziack is pregnant?!!! What?!! How in the world? And really is she 30? No way. Okay, yes, she is with child and if you watch RHOATL you will know that the father is Mr. Nice bottom.

2. Camille on RHOBH is a nutjob. There, I said it. And you all were thinking it. Yes, a huge nut job. Now, I understand why Kelsey had gotten a girlfriend. I don't blame him. Seriously.

3. Thanksgiving- This year will be a special one. One of my dear friends will be flying in and spending time with my parents and I this holiday week. I am so excited! I love having visitors during the holiday season. Even though, this holiday will be super small. Just my parents and I. I really wanted to make it special. If you are an avid reader of my blog you know why in my past posts. Therefore, this thanksgiving will be filled with many memories of a small event. A day of blessings and reflecting on the past years experiences.

4. This Thanksgiving videa made my day. It is so silly, but it sure did make me laugh.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving everyone and remember, it is not about who comes to dinner, who has the best food or whats on tv… it is about how blessed we truly are this holiday season. Count your blessings every day.

Am I A Scrooge?

I'm just not feeling the whole holiday season this year. Anyone else not feeling it?

It may the turn on our economy, world suffering no clue. I just don't feel that spirit in the air at all.

I know many of my friends are not celebrating Christmas as much as they would this year. I know many will be having a small dinner and a present or so. It's kind of sad. I mean, its just not in the air. The sales on shopping have gone down. Many are focusing on buying for the children only this year etc…

My Mom is even contemplating not even decoratingthis year. I mean what in the world?

For Christmas, I think I will take my parents to Savannah, GA for Christmas Day afternoon until that Monday. Just to get away, enjoy a small vacation etc… Last year, we went to Asheville on Christmas day and spent the weekend there at Biltmore they loved it.

I kind of feel bad that I am not feeling this year's holiday spirit at all. I mean, Thanksgiving is 8 days away and it just feels like a normal day to day. Any one else or am I being a Scrooge this year?

I have a younger brother, however, we do not have a relationship at all. That is something that is in the past and I care not to bring it up. I guess you may say, I have always felt like an only child. All my cousins are younger about the age of 13 and below. They live 1,000 miles away and with the Christmas being a 3 day weekend this year. Time to fly to see them would not be worth it.

I'm just sad over this holiday. Just mom, dad and I, sitting at home opening presents but ourselves. It's pretty depressing and I wish I had a huge family of my own to enjoy this time with. One day, I hope and pray that happens for me. There you have it. Me dreading Christmas all because it will be pretty lonely.

I am reminded of the scene from Bridget Jones Diary- where its's her and her father at home alone on Christmas eve in their pajamas watching the tele in the dark or this scene will be me:

I know, I sound selfish and ungrateful but I am believe me I am. My parents and I are happy, healthy, safe and we have good jobs thank goodness. I guess its the feeling that we won't be surrounded by family etc.. I am having one of my dear friends from work who will be alone on Christmas over on Christmas Day for lunch etc..

Anyways, enough sappy emotional posts for today. I hope that everyone is havinga fabulous friday and the weekend is here! :)

The Beginning …

I've been at a crossroads recently in life at age 29 and with 30 creeping up I feel that my life is the same cycle every day. I get up, head to work, leave the office head home and then sleep. All of this is on repeat. On Saturday, I was at lunch with my mom and I was telling her how I want to do so much with my life. To help people, put some of my talents to use and make this world a better place. I at least want to try and make some type of difference. My mom made a very valid point to me that day, she said that she knows I am that person who always does something, I was born with that passion to help in any way I can. I am the person that puts it all back together. She reminded me of when I was in college I would put on a yearly charity concert event with musicians, comedians, artisits,storytellers and so much more. So what happened to that girl who would plan a yearly event at a university for 7,000 students? What happened to me? Simply put, life took over. The real world they call it. It totally engulfs you into "its" world of making a career and living. Sadly, I don't like that too much. I mean, let's face it yes we all have to have a career, make a living and we are so blessed with it. However, do I really want to have my life be on repeat? No. I don't. I want to do something to make it a better one. I get up like always, work at a place that I adore but also do something to help others. All weekend I was realying with what can I do ? How can I go about this? Who would be in this with me?

I thought a charity some type of non profit org. would be perfect. Now who would be in this with me?

I thought of only one person- Sara. A 21 year old, college student who wants to save the world one step at a time. She's as passionate as an enrique ingleases music video and would be a perfect partner.

Last night, I BBM'd her and tossed out the idea to her and she accepted with such thrill and excitement than a 5 year old who saw Yo Gaba Gaba. There you have it guys, I am co creating a charity for women and children who are in need of getting back on their feet. Women who need empowerment and their children who need guidance. Above all they need someone who stands by them, beleieves in them and send lots of love to them. We have come up with the idea for a logo design being 2 hearts linked together. And something to the effect of Linked Hearts Project. By the way, if you have a better idea for a name in regards to hearts let me know! Ha ha. This is just in its infant stages and I mean infant. If anyone has any advice or input please let me know. This is all new to me and Sara.

I've been thinking a lot lately, especially since I am approaching the age of 30 in January. Thinking about life, what I want to accomplish before time passes you by and you are 80 living in a retirement community and knitting for the grandkids. Or hopefully, 80 hanging out at the local Catholic Church playing it up in Bingo with Father Callahan. Aw, a girl can dream can't she. ;)
My bucket list is at 49 items and I created this list when I was 15. Either I was really bored or I must have thought this was a really cool idea. I'm going with the really cool idea. So, Im turning 30 and I thought I've gotta put this list into action. Here I am on my blog putting it into action. Some of these items I may need my blogger friends help with and I will let you guys know which ones.

Whats on my list you may ask? Well, here are some:

Go to Italy with a bunch of fun friends- not lame ones.

Do ballroom dancing

MC a Charity Event

Go to the Today Show and get on tv

Try every hidden restaurant in each city in America - best places to eat :)

Travel to India,Asia, all of Europe and Canada

Have a dinner party of people I like from different backgrounds.

Buy my parents a house in Europe

Tour with someone who I really admire for 1 week only

Go to Disneyworld

Own a second home that I love

Visit St. Jude's Cancer Research Hospital and make kids laugh.

Start a children's fairytale time program at childrens hospitals in my area.

Hey Ya'll! I am so sorry that I haven't been blogging. Life has taken me by the feet lately. With it being the end of the year in most of my life areas, I have been sad to say it MIA. However, I am back and better than ever :)

Update on Me:
Professional life I have been beyond blessed. I am a huge believer in working hard and when it fails, work even harder! The pay off is beyond your wildest dreams! I have a great family, some members I don't care for. I guess I am like Jeff Lewis on Bravo's Show Flipping Out. Even though some family members are can we say pretty cold hearted and uncompassionate people. Doesn't obligate me to value and have a relationship with them. I value a few and that is plenty for me :)

I have lost weight. With getting back into dance class. I used to dance so much when I was younger that being an adult took it over. Sad, I know. But I have taken it back up and I could not be happier. Plus my figuere looks fab!

So, tell me what have I missed? I want to hear from you.

The List

The list ? What is this list you speak of? Well, the list is actually my "bucket list" that I began when I was 15. I don't know if it was created out of shear boredom or there was no 21 jump street on TV. Who Knows? What I do know is that it has reached 45 items and only 2 have been completed. This is lame and I am pretty pathetic for not even tacking this thing like I should have/be. So reaching the mere oage of gasp 30, God my heart sinks when I think of turning 30. Anyways, I want to tackle this list with more agression and completion.

So, I have decided that after much suggestion, shoving and encopuragement from my parents and friends. I will begin to tackel the list.

Here are some items I want to get done:

Sing kareoke while sober

Race up to to the Seattle Space needle

Take a year of my life and travel the world.

Engulf myself in another culture.

Take a painting class

Have self portraits made of myself by age 30

Go to a DC protest ( I think this was more of during the Bush era) lol

Go to the NYC Met Opera

Stay at the Plaza Hotel in NYC for one night

Hit a baseball at Fenway Park

Work at Chic Fil A for one day

Volunteer at a retirement home

Go to Bali and take a vow of silence for one day

Become a cool person's personal assistant for 1 week

So, I am telling my parents about my list and their response: " Go for it and just do it" Me: Uh?! I can't do these I am now 30 and no time. I have a great career and all. Too much time has passed.

So, here you go folks.. After a weekend of praying, thinking and drinking long and hard I have decided to just do it. I hope you will join me on this journey. Should be interesting and mainly entertaining to say the least. But definitely a ride worth riding.

Oh, and the "Cool Person" I want to be their 1 week PA is Aziz Ansari. It's really the only person I can relate to. Lover of Chic Fil A, Foodie, humorous, grew up in South Carolina ( as I have) etc… Plus, I admire him, he is a wonderful person. Starting a new blog for this grassroots campaign to get me to be his PA for 1 week. - Will Work For Aziz.

RHONJ- Part 2 Recap -- " Wigged Out and Awkward Hugs"

Yep, you read that right.. Wigged out and awkward hugs is what part 2 was about. I must say that these ladies get odder and odder every season. Which is awesome!!! Ha ha. I'll admit it, I will miss Danielle and the crew. It added a spice to the show that I had to just watch to see what would happen next.

My only comment is what was Kim G.'s Dynasty ooutfit. What in the world?! Bright silvery teal with off shoulder roses and blinged out everything?! Yea, I have no words for this one.

Overall, RHONJ has ended, until next year. Now, onto ATL, BH and DC :)

Okay ya'll I have a confession to make and I havent told anyone on my blog or on twitter this. Only bacause it hasn't come up ha ha. But I have a part time job that I do to raise funds for my parents health insurance costs. I am a Mary Kay Skin Care Consultant. People ask me how come you have such gorgeous skin? What do I use? What is my skin regime? Well, I have been using MK since I was 15 and I am now 29. The reason I use it is because not only do I adore the products, but I love sharing my skin care info with others.

I began this in college just part time to help my parents medical costs etc.. I just do it part time and I love helping my family out. I read all about cancer in my "day" job and apply that to my friends who purchase MK from me.

I asked a friend of mine from college, why do you buy from me? She said, because you don't push anyone. You teach people about the dangers of not taking care of your skin and how important it is. It's funny, I never had it click with me, but I am not pushy. If they ask, I am all about teaching them and helping.

So, there you all have it. I am a MK Skin Care consultant. :) Very proud of teaching all women and men about taking care of their skin, getting skin cancer screenings etc…

Happy First day of September!
Can you believe it? It is already September. Phew… the summer just flew by this year. I love fall, it is actually one of my favorite seasons. From a girl who grew up in Boston, I definitely miss the snow and cold temps, while living here in the Carolinas. So, I welcome fall and its gorgeous colors, coffee drinks and cardigans :)

You will have noticed that many of my tweet friends are trying to find t he best mascara while on a budget. I basically preached and raved about the Cover Girl Lash Blast Masacara. It is a miravle tube for your eye lashes. At $6.39 a tube that does wonders for your lashes, you really can't beat it. It lengthens, volumizes and stays on! Its fantastic!

Oh joy, the Real Housewives of NJ reunion part 1 aired last night and can I just say this was AWESOME!!! It truly did not disappoint. It was filled with crazy, shoving, yelling, screaming, pointing and name calling. Super classy in Jersey! ;)
Below is a sneak peek pic of the moment ( which happened within the first 5 mins of the show) where Teresa goes off onm Danielle. Something about her nephew? I have no idea honestly. My twitter friends and I just did n't understand why she went off on her like that. But she did say " You don't break up my family" In screaming, schreiking voice. Can you say Crazy? One tweet friend made a really interesting statement last night, she said. We all know Danielle is crazy, but you must be crazier when you start making Danielle look less crazier than you. Isn't that the truth?! I mean, let’s face it here. They are all crazy to some level, but I must admit that the only one who has class and dignity is my favorite Mrs. Caroline Manzo. Like she said.. She has been even keel. She doesn't speak to them, she doesn't talk or associate herself with them. Which is true. She has her own family to run and handle. She doesn't need the crazies added to it. Lets get to talking about each one.. First up,

Teresa:

Well, can I just say that she has lost her classiness. Seriously, your husband is not hot, you spend money like water, you talk about how Jersey Shore is a bad representation of Italians in Jersey. Well, hello?!!! What in the world do you call yourself? Its all the same my dear. Also, you have had to have known that your husband was hinting at you about the financial trouble you all were in. In every episode this season he makes a comment. I even noticed that and I don't live with you all. Also, who in the world gets into a car wreck and then goes and takes some shots to "ease the stress" right after? Can we say Denial here?!

Jacqueline:

Okay, let me just say that she annoys me to no end. She's like the girl in the group of bullies that tries to fit in, be tough etc.. But really is a whimp. Her daughter should be charged etc.. I mean, in the real world if her daughter did that, guess what? Charges would have been brought up against her. Plus, let's face it, the girl needs a really good lesson. A bratty kid who doesn't get that your actions cause consequences. Oh and that red glitter dress had to go.. Not flattering at all.

Danielle:

So she is crazy, lives through her children, plays the victim card, and walks away. Seriously?!! With your supposed past criminal background, you should be maning up! But no she walks away and why does she do that? Well, simple, her tactic is to make them look crazier than her. And job well done! It works. I really do agree with Caroline. I have never seen her children be really happy. You look at them and they look down, eyes really blank. Its really sad. And her outfit.. A wife beater?! Come on, dress classy for once!

Crazy people and ignorance. It's on my mind daily. I guess, I relate to people from different cultures, religions, backgrounds etc… I am a person who is of a different culture, religion etc.. My ultimate wish is that people don't think of others as less than them, or bad/evil etc… We are all humans who want peace and respect. And FYI.. We all ultimately believe in the same thing. Just sayin'

Aziz Ansari and Vince Vaughn- If you know me for a long while, you may have noticed that I am a girl who loves a sense of humor. To me, it is the layout for everything else in a person. I crave lauighter. It makes things better in a person's life. I admire the two actors/comedians above. Not only for their charm and sauve looks. Okay, well Aziz you just want to put him in your pocket for safe keeping :) But both make me laugh and take life into a different outlook. To me, that’s a gift. I hope that people who know me think that about me. I may not be the smartest or prettiest, but heck, I know I am funny and faithful with everyone.

So, today, your duties are to be thankful for what you have, have a tweetfest, laugh, be open minded, create peace and above all, take it all day by day.

Let me explain. I responded to a pretty heated topic regarding places of worship being built on private property etc.. Anyways, I have large stance on many taboo topics that are in the media now a days. I stand and put myself in others shoes and think. Hey, ya know, if this happened to me, my religion, culture, people etc... what would I do or think? I was always an open minded person, loved all religions, races and learned about people's walks in life. I never shunned, nor said I am better than anyone else or my beliefs are great, while yours suck. No, I was never and will never be like that. If I turn into that, you all have the right to hit me on the head with a frying pan. I am a believer in Coexisting. I believe in the world, all the people, races, cultures etc.. that make it up. I believe in all colors and in a colorful world.

I was told today I am too pasionate.And I stepped back and didn't know how to respond to that. How can one be too passionate? I mean, heck you have passion or not. I rather have too much of it or lack it.
So, I am passionate and I am proud of it ! :)

Savannah, GA- Land of Paula Deen:

Hey Ya'll!! Just had to say that. I must say that I really liked Savannah. It has amazing history, picturesque squares and so much more. But I will confess to you all, that I would not be sad if I never visited it again. I must say that I prefer Charleston, SC more than Savannah. It may be the humidity, or the people? I have no idea. But I liked Savannah, not at a love status as of yet. What I do is thie Greek Restaurant on River Street- Olympia's!! Fantastic! I think I am like their promoter. Love them, the staff, family who owns it, food and much more. I guess, why I love it that much is because its European and I feel right at home. Like "These are my people". If you did not already guess, I am 100 % Portuguese. So, a girl who grew up in a Portuguese family from a small town in northern Portugal feels at home in any European scene. I actually get really giddy and I am over the moon. You would have thought I was meeting Vince Vaughn or something?! It was crazy love for the Greeks! So, go and check this little spot out. I give it 5 stars in my book!
Okay, some southern blog and twitter friends may actually throw stones at me and well, blow me off from their list of friends. But I am a really honest person, and I have to be true to you all right?. Confession: I do not get the whole Paula Deen deal. I mean, I get the Southern Cuisine, comfort food, Sweet Tea, homemade butter biscuits. Believe me, I get it, so does my butt, hence why WW has been called into duty. My point being is that I walked by Lady and Sons restaurant and people standing around the corner, like you would think they were in line for the Soup Nazi in NYC or to get Today Show tickets. And I look inside the restaurant and I am like this looks like the Golden Corral?!! What in the heck?! Are you serious? Oh No, I am not waiting 2 hours or more in 118 degree humidity for some mac and cheese made with 4 sticks of butter. And Ms. Dean has her own store right next door?! What has this town come to?. I mean, listen, I love Paula Dean. I think her sweet and funny personality shines like the sunshine. But I think this town has gone way too crazy for PD. It may be just me and I know I will get sticks of butter thrown on me from the beloved PD fanatics. Oh well, I just do not get it.

Sincere apologies for my post today. Just have so many things going on in my head that I just need to get them out. What better way than to my blog friends :). So here are the various items going on in my head:

Sorority Reunion in Savannah:

I am the reunion director for my sororities alumna chapter and we are doing a Southern reunion this weekend in Savannah. I have had wonderful reunion leaders put it together. They have done a fantastic job.. From the itinerary, t-shirts, accomodations and so on. However, I and my committee are handling the gift bags and these are for 30 people. It is exhausting but so much fun putting projects and ideas together for these great girls. I just hope that they like it. I will post a pick of the final product next week for you all to see.

Let's hope that this reunion will be a great success and many good memories are created :)

Reconnecting:

Funny thing happened lately. I recently reconnected with a college guy friend via FB. He and I worked together in the student union, we have known eachother 10 years and we have both had a crush on eachother. However, neither would make a move or even for sure about the other one's feelings. Time, life passes.. And here we are we re connected by both commenting on a mutual friends status. Funny how life happens. I really think it is fate, luck and good reasons as to why we reconnected. I am enjoying him and getting to know eachother all over again. He lives on the otherside of the world, which is a challenge. But we are taking it day by day and seeing where it goes. It can only go up from here right?

Weight Watchers:

I'm back on the wagon of WW :) I am really excited about it and it seems to be going well. Lost 3 lbs in 2 weeks. Looking to lose 10 overall.

Okay, so I am not into silver jewelry. I am fair already, adding silver is just not flattering for my skin and it's undertones. So, I am loving the combination of silver and gold. I really love the all gold ones, but at $2K a pop, may have to stick with the combo ones.

As many of you know, I currently live in the Carolinas. South Carolina to be exact and I am only 45 mins drive away from one of my favorite cities Charlotte, NC. Charlotte is a great, growing city and I went to college there as well as, lived there after college for a while. I simplylove it there. Many people don't truly take the time to get to know this great city. They usually fly into the city and fly back out, or drive right through to get to Raleigh, Atlanta or Richmond. Every Saturday my mom and I have a summer tradition, we take a drive up to the farmer's market for our weekly shopping. It's such a great treat for she and I. Living in a town where our farmer's market is should I say? Lacking produce and I mean, lacking. So, we get our grocery totes and head on up and spend a whole afternoon tasting fruits, veggies, talking with the elderly gentleman who sells the best watermelon I have tried in a very long time. Simply enjoying the flowers, crafts and food that is sold there. It is a mecca of different cultures, races, ages and so on. I always felt more comfortable surrounded by people of all shapes, sizes, and races. I believe that is because I am slightly different. I am a Portuguese girl, born and raised in the city of Boston who happens to live in the South. I feel like a fish out of water many days. But it's me and I'm proud of who I am, where I have been and where I come from.

The farmer's market to me is more than just people selling fresh fruits and a bouquet of flowers. It's an experience of what life has to offer us. It is an overflowing pot of culture and simplicity.

So, where have I been?

Yes, I know, I have been MIA lately. But I do have a good excuse. I ended up taking time off to give my blog a much needed as well as, well deserved make over. So, what do you all think? Love, Dislike or Egh ?

There are a couple of finishing touches that the fabulous Marina at Penny Lane Designs needs to install. I want to thank her for the fantastic blog design and her patience with me. Also, a warm thank you to my new friend and designer Ashley Brooke at Ashley Brooke Designs. She hand sketched the blog header you see above. It is absolutely beautiful! That is me and my dog Sophie. The blog header is all about me, what I love, my culture per the flags on the desk etc… She did a fantastic job. Here's an update on me and what I have been doing this summer:
I have been simply working, and I work a lot. 12 hour days sometimes 6 days a week. My mom was in Boston for 6 weeks visiting my Grandmother and spending time with her siblings etc.. Therefore, it has just been me and my Dad. We have been both working, holding down the house etc… I know, fun times uh?

Other than that, I have been just having my blog made over and working on it for you all! I hope you really like it and I am looking forward to having you get to know me and vice versa.

So, stay tuned and hold on tight.. This will be quiet the great adventure :)

Lifetimers

In life you come to realize who is important to you and why. You are given people, whether family related or not that are not the best for you. However, there are some people who come into your life when you really need someone. Like it or not, they are there to guide, protect, encourage, create a bond and better you. I am a firm believer in my faith and I know that God handles me with what He believes is best for me. Simple as that. It took me at the age of 19 to realize this notion and I must say, I was pretty young to understand it. I guess experience, failed & falsyfied relationships can make you become a wise person at a rather young age.
You suffer, grieve and learn, that not everyone is who they used to be and perhaps they were never who you thought they were. But the good thing is that the ones who make you laugh, stand by you and accept you for you are the ones that stay. And they usually stay for a lifetime. Those are the lasting relationships that matter and are worth writing about. There is no amount of wealth in this world to trade in for one wonderful bond with another person. Books and movies are written about these relationships.It used to amaze me to read about these bonds and always believe that they exhisted. Heck, God granted me with many blessings in my life but good people was not one of them. As a child, I thought, "When will I find a good person in my life?" Yes, I have amazing parents. But with a failed sibling relationship right out of the gate of childhood. You always pray that God would have to give you some good people in your life. Those relationships are the ones that can stand the test of time, ones that you can catch up after months of not speaking as if it were yesterday, ones that you know what the other is thinking and laugh at the exact same time without uttering a word. Those are the blessed ones and I am honored to say that I am blessed with that. God didn't grant me a large family not even cousin's my own age to relate to. I was a loner, a child surrounded by adults. I didn't grow up with friends down the street that would knock on your door to play with every day during the summer. However, God works in funny ways. I had failed relationships with family memebers as well as, friends. I was somewhat of the black sheep, I never went with the grain. Good or bad, I did what I thought was right in my life. I never grew the trait of jealousy or greed. Never had a thought to make someone's else life a bit harsher, so that mine could be brighter. It wasn't me, God didn't grant me those characteristics. With that, you were outcasted. It's simple, in my past relationships, if I didn't go along with the group. You are out.

Years ago, when I was in college, I met many of my dear friends that I have today. But I will only touch on one in college. She is one of my closest friends. We argue, vent, yell, laugh, cry and have crazy fun filled getaways.In the end, we never judge, we never faulter, we are who were are. We see the good in eachother, we value and cherish. Later in life, I met a friend who reminded me today actually of how much he values our relationship. He is what I call my personal shover. He shoves, it's one of his many duties. Yes, mentally, emotinally and sometimes in a playful manner he shoves. I met him in a time where I went through a huge life decision that I had made months before. I was at a time of trying to find peace within myself and peace with the decision that I made. So, there he was and has been there for me ever since.

All my relationships are close and filled with encouragers, comedians, protestors, shovers, teachers but above most of all they are lifetimers. My relationships are few and far in between. I could count them on one hand. However, I never think of it as sad, I think of it as grateful. It's not about how many friends a person has, how popular they are. It is about the subastance of that person and relationship. For me, it is equivalent to finding gold. Some never find it, others do, but we are always searching for it. My lifetimers are apart of my family, and I am lucky to have them.

I know, that many of you have asked about my writings etc… I will only stick to blogging for right now. This entry was inspired by a friend today, just had to write it out.

Ode to the Mom Agenda

I love this planner & highly recommend it to everyone who uses daily planners, Mom's or just women who like to make their days easier & much more organized. I am not a Mom yet, however, being a single 20 year old. I cannot get enough of my Mom Agenda Planner!!! This agenda is a 2 year planner. Yes, 2 years 2010-2012. How wonderful is that?! And I'm spent!

And I'm Spent & with no pictures to show for it. My camera broke on the drive up. I am very bummed that I have no pictures to show you girls at all. Forgive me?

Yes, I am back from my weekend vacation in Maryland/DC and I am exhausted.

It was a great time with my parents & sorority sister. We stayed at her home and it we had a wonderful time.

On Friday, we ventured into Baltimore, visited Little Italy. We ate at a place that I believe was run by the "M****". If you catch my drift. ( wink * wink). So, that was super uncomfortable and very Godfather like. We walked around the Inner Harbor, which was fabulous. There is the Domino Sugar Factory on the harbor. You can smell the sugar being cooked… it was really amazing!

Saturday, we toured the US Capitol & Library of Congress. Can you say... WOW!!! I was just in awe by the size of these two American Landmarks. Who in the world knew that these two building were built back in the 1700/1800's by hand?!! The craftsmanship is jaw dropping. I found myself, just staring at everything & thinking.." My oh My… now this is craftsmanship at it's finest" We don't build things like this anymore.

Saturday Night- Dinner at a Portuguese Restaurant called - Tavaria! Yes, I was psyched. My beloved culture is now in MD area. My parents were tickled pink as I was - ha-ha. I am 100% Portuguese - first generation. I grew up in this world and now, living in the Carolinas. I am not around it anymore, therefore, I get super excited when I find a place t hat offers my food :)

Overall, the trip was great, many memories were made and I did miss my readers/friends. How was your weekend?

IPhone 4G..Gotta Have it!

How excited was I to see Steve Jobs announce the new Iphone 4! I am a nerd for gadgets. I can't help it. The only problem is.. Cost. I can't afford half of this stuff that comes out. I really want the Ipad. I am saving up for one and the new IPHone 4 when I am able to. My cell contact will end the beginning of next year. So, I will definitely be purchasing this little puppy in white & once my laptop passes away ( perhaps 2-3 more years? Ha-ha). I will invest in the newer version of the Ipad. ( You know, there will be a newer Ipad 3 come that time :) ).

I hope that your week is going swimingly! :)

I will be Baltimore & DC boung starting tomorow at 6 am. It will be my parents and me heading to do the DC tourist thing until Sunday morning. My mom will then take the train to visit my family in Boston, while Dad and I will be coming back home to SC.

I will definately take many pictures and document my trip, so that I can share with you all! :)

I'm a Bookworm & I am Proud!

dnI am a true book worm. I read all the time, books, magazines editorials, newspapers etc.. I read on my lunch break, in the morning when I wake up and begin my day, even before I fall asleep I try and read 1 chapter before bed. My friends always ask how do I go through books so quickly, my answer: I am addicted to reading :)
